Roads and Public Transport in Kadugodi

Whitefield Main Road is the main road through Kadugodi. It links the area with Hope Farm, Hoodi, Whitefield and KR Puram. Most buses and local vehicles use this road. It also provides access to the Purple Line stations.

Whitefield–Hoskote Road serves the eastern side of Kadugodi. It links Seegehalli, Kannamangala, Hoskote and NH-75. This road is useful for homes and work sites in the growing eastern belt. It also provides an alternate route towards Old Madras Road.

ITPL Main Road carries office traffic between Kadugodi and ITPL. Channasandra Main Road serves Hope Farm and Whitefield Railway Station. Both roads become busy during office and school hours. Travel time can change quickly during peak traffic.

Hope Farm is the main traffic slow point between Kadugodi and Whitefield. Vehicles from Kadugodi, Whitefield, ITPL and Chandapura meet at this junction. Long queues are common during morning and evening hours. Drivers may wait through signal cycles lasting close to two minutes.

Work on the Hope Farm underpass began in May 2026. The project costs around ₹35 crore and covers nearly 300 metres. It will carry Whitefield–Kadugodi traffic below the junction. The project aims to make this movement signal-free.

The construction may cause short-term delays. Temporary lanes and service roads carry part of the traffic. Road width may change as the work moves from one side to another. Commuters should keep extra time while travelling through Hope Farm.

Kadugodi has more public transport choices than many outer parts of East Bengaluru. The Metro is useful for city travel, while buses cover local areas that do not have a station. Whitefield Railway Station adds suburban and long-distance train access. Autos and cabs support the last part of most trips.

Kadugodi has two main Purple Line Metro stations. They are Whitefield (Kadugodi) and Kadugodi Tree Park. Hopefarm Channasandra Metro Station is also close to the area. All these stations are fully operational.

Whitefield (Kadugodi) is the eastern terminal of the Purple Line. It provides a direct ride to KR Puram, Indiranagar, MG Road and Majestic. Passengers do not need to change trains for these places. The same line continues towards Challaghatta in West Bengaluru.

The Metro ride to KR Puram takes about 23 minutes. Majestic takes around 50 to 55 minutes. Metro travel is usually more reliable than road travel during office hours. Waiting time must be added to the total journey.

Kadugodi Bus Station is an important bus point in East Bengaluru. BMTC buses connect it with Majestic, KR Puram, ITPL, Whitefield, Marathahalli and Hoskote. Local buses also serve Hope Farm, Channasandra and nearby residential areas. Bus routes and timings may change during the year.

A normal bus trip from Kadugodi to Majestic takes around one hour and 35 minutes. Trips to Whitefield and ITPL take less time. Traffic at Hope Farm, Hoodi and KR Puram can delay city buses. Metro is usually faster for longer trips along the Purple Line.

The KIA-6 airport bus starts from Kadugodi Bus Station. It travels through Hope Farm, Whitefield, Varthur Kodi, Marathahalli, Tin Factory and Hebbal. The route provides a direct public transport link to Kempegowda International Airport. The full journey can take more than two hours during heavy traffic.

Whitefield Railway Station is on the Kadugodi side of the locality. It serves local, regional and long-distance trains. The station is part of the busy Bengaluru–Chennai railway route. It is useful for passengers travelling towards Bengaluru, Kolar and Bangarpet.

BMTC buses, autos and cabs serve the station area. Whitefield (Kadugodi) Metro Station is also nearby. This makes it easier to change between railway, Metro and road transport. Passengers should still keep time for the last-mile trip.

The station is being improved as part of wider railway work. The work includes new tracks, platforms, footbridges and passenger facilities. Entry points or platform use may change during construction. The full rail upgrade has a March 2027 target.

Metro is the best choice for KR Puram, Indiranagar, MG Road and Majestic. It avoids most road traffic and provides a direct ride. BMTC buses are useful for Hoskote, Marathahalli and local areas away from the Metro. Whitefield Railway Station is suitable for regional and long-distance train journeys.

Brigade Granada is in Seegehalli, off Whitefield–Kadugodi Road. The project site is around 750 metres from NH-75. Its westbound road link leads towards Kadugodi, Whitefield, ITPL and KR Puram. The eastbound side connects with Hoskote and the NH-75 belt.

Konadasapura and Doddabanahalli bus stops provide the nearest bus access. Whitefield Railway Station and Kadugodi Metro offer rail-based travel towards Whitefield, KR Puram and central Bengaluru. The airport route uses SH-104 and New Airport Road. Travel times may change based on the final project gate, traffic and road used.
